Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort

Disney World All-Star Resorts are the least expensive Value Resorts in Disney World, but not skimping on any Disney advantages!  The All-Star Resorts are the utmost economical way to stay on Disney Property and still enjoy all the benefits and magic that Disney World has to offer. Included in the All-Star Resorts you have 3 resorts: the All-Star Movies, All-Star Music and All-Star Sports.  Each resort is themed exactly as they sound and no other hotel could be as special.

In May of 2015, our annual Disney World vacation began with us choosing to stay in Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. For being the most economic choice, there was nothing short of Disney magic; and probably more Disney themes than you would find at moderate or deluxe accommodations!

As you enter the lobby named Cinema Hall, for all central services, you escape into a biosphere of cinema, brightly lit of stars and lights you find the typical happy Disney atmosphere. Nearby you will find Donald’s Double Feature Gift Shop. The World Premiere Food Court is just like any other value with several options – all great and tasty.  Walking outside you will find the Fantasia themed pool where Sorcerer Mickey sprays water.

When you’ve got Mickey what else do you need?!

We chose to stay in the Toy Story area in a preferred room, which was slightly more money just to be near the busing and food court – and was totally worth every cent! Our children were in awe over the larger than life Toy Story ornamenting within your grasp!

The Toy Story section features a 27-foot-tall bucket of Green Army Men, a 30-foot-tall Woody icon and a 47-foot-tall Buzz Lightyear icon!

The other themed areas of the hotel are 101 Dalmatians, Mighty Ducks, Fantasia, and The Love Bug.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed the Movie’s pool bar conveniently located inside the pool area.  Disney drinks leave nothing to be desired.

Located neighboring each other, the 3 separate resorts share the busing system – which we found to be of no issue whatsoever, during our stay in early May 2015.

What you get:

  • 2 double beds.  No king size bed is available at this value resort.
  • Hair dryer, free Wi-Fi, safe, telephone with voicemail, bathroom, shower, 1 sink vanity, mini-refrigerator, alarm clock with radio, iron and ironing board, small table with 2 chairs, dresser and nightstand and more.
  • Access to Disney’s Extra Magic Hours.
  • Free transportation to and from parks.
  • Disney’s Magical Express and more!

In conclusion did we like All-Star Movies Resort?

YES!  We loved staying there.

We absolutely will be traveling back to Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort one day soon for the economic strength and comfort.  After all, when we visit Disney Parks we are rarely in our hotel room so we don’t really need all the extras the more expensive rooms bring and it ends up being a wasted value.

When you book a room inside of Walt Disney World it really depends on what fits your family’s needs best.  We love saving money!
