TIP for using Genie + Summer 2022

Disney World’s Genie Plus

Summer / Fall 2022 –

We Mastered How to Use It!

After watching countless YouTube Videos we finally figured out how to use Disney’s Genie Plus in the My Disney Experience App during our July/August 2022 Vacation.

DISCLAIMER: Genie + is continuously changing and we cannot be held responsible if it is any different during the time of your vacation. I am not responsible for any upsets or anything that can/will go wrong during your vacation or trip.

Purchase Genie at 12 midnight or 6am during day of your visit

You’re going to want to get up early so you have it purchased in plenty of time before 7am.

Have a plan!

Know what park you’re visiting and have a Top Attractions List idea in mind.

7am Book Your First Ride of the Day

When you open Genie you will find the time selections available located inside the TIP BOARD. You will want to click BOOK EXPERIENCE.

You will have advanced park reservations – so you know what park you will be heading into for the day. Know in advance which attraction your party wants to conquer first! Possibly make a list in your NOTES section in your phone.

*It is best to know which rides are a must-do at every park before you even set out on your adventure! This way you know what you are looking to book at 7am. If you’re not sure you might miss out on a time.

Be already on Genie at 6:45am refreshing until 7am for first choice selections.

During our July/August vacation I was not able to book a second Genie selection until after we scanned in to our first selection of the day – despite what we had been told. I heard you could stack another selection 2 hours after park opening each day – however it would not work for us. If it works for you please let me know in the comments! If I am not mistaken selected experiences need to be 2 hours apart?

Make Another Selection AFTER you SCAN Your 1st Selection of the Day

REFRESH REFRESH REFRESH!

When you open Genie (after you have scanned in to ride your attraction) INSIDE THE TIP BOARD to book another selection, you might not like the times available; but do not despair! ✨🌟Keep pulling down 🌟and refreshing 🌟and the times should change💫 – giving you some better options.

You Can Even Change Parks When Park Hopping!

You won’t be able to book another selection at another park until after 2pm which is when Park Hopping Time Begins (is allowed). Then in MDE inside Genie + you will need to change which park you want to head to.

Is Genie Worth It?

Yes for our family it is – but possibly not for everyone. We also utilize the DAS system which is the Disability Access System. My husband is a type 1 diabetic affected by temperature and not able to stand in long lines. My younger son has POTS and a hypermobility disorder with no temperature regulation; so the temperature can cause him to become ill and he is not able to stand in long lines/ needs quick access to bathrooms. Sitting in a wheelchair could also make my son a faint hazard. My other son has a severe anxiety disorder. We are not that healthy family that is capable of standing in long lines… SO…….we utilize DAS as well as Genie Plus for ease of access to bathrooms, rest and snacks instead of waiting on long lines. We felt that in order for OUR best use of times we almost had to have both – some people choose not to.

YOU HAVE TO DECIDE WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILLY!

Can a trip be great at WDW even without Genie? Sure, but it might be tricky and you will need to put on your Patient Hat.

Do we wish Disney would bring back the FREE Fast Pass System? Absolutely! We cannot give up hope.

Why I Only Have ONE Disney World Annual Pass

NOT EVERYONE IN THE PARTY NEEDS A PASS TO GET THE PERKS

Thinking about purchasing an Annual Pass for Disney World?

WELL… only ONE person out of the vacationing party needs the annual pass to get the fantastic hotel discounts – ***which are usually anywhere from 25% to sometimes 40% OFF ROOMS***, the 20% MERCHANDISE discounts and the 10% dining discounts. YUP – the person that makes your DW resort reservations can use their pass to receive the pretty awesome hotel discounts that Disney offers. Just make sure when purchasing anything – to always have the annual passholder with their card and ID near you so you get that discount. The first year we invested in having an Annual Pass we got a fantastic 40% off room discount for our January 1st vacation at Disney’s Grand Floridian!!!

When It Makes Sense For The Entire Family To Purchase An Annual Pass

If you’re planning on vacationing in Walt Disney World at least 14 days out of the year or more – than it absolutely makes sense because in this case you would be saving money on tickets.

Are you planning on investing in a Walt Disney World Annual Pass?

Navigating High Crowd Volumes During Your Walt Disney World Vacation: Tips and Strategies.

Lucky for you, you are reading this because you are most likely planning a trip to Walt Disney World Soon. Specific times of the year, as well as random times of the year can create high crowd volumes at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Learn when the highest crowd times are and have an action plan. Maximize your Walt Disney World experience by navigating high crowd volumes. Learn when the busiest times are and plan accordingly.

Disclaimer: I am by no means responsible for closures due to anything and including whatever can and will go wrong during your WDW vacation. Always visit on My Disney Experience or on Disney’s website https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/my-disney-experience/planning-your-trip/ to check for times and closures. I am a Mother of 2 boys who travels to Walt Disney World often and these are my opinions and suggestions.

The highest peak crowd times during the year are usually as follows but subject to change at anytime:

⭐Christmas Week – the week of Christmas leading into New Year’s Eve

⭐President’s Day Weekend

⭐Spring Break Times – range from March through Mid-April *especially Easter week

⭐4th of July (sometimes the month of July)

⭐Thanksgiving Week

My family and I battled two of the highest crowd times – just before Covid hit. New Year’s Eve day at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park. On this day Magic Kingdom closed at capacity not letting anymore guests inside the park. It was shoulder to shoulder cruising across the park. We also did Spring Break week of 2019.

Below are MY TIPS for conquering crowds and still having the most magical time ever!

TIPS TO NAVIGATING HIGH CROWD VOLUMES

RESERVATIONS

Try to talk out and plan with your travel party what days you would like to visit each park of your trip. ✨Make your reservations well in advance! Including hotel reservations so they do not book up and because discounts also expire!

✨Plan out each day to know which park you will be in. Have those dining reservations set.

✨Make your Advanced Dining Reservations – ADR’s – 60 days prior to check in! Make note on your calendar. Your Dining Reservations will be your escape from crowds in a nice seated air conditioned room! You can make your Walt Disney Dining Reservations on the My Disney Experience APP or you can click here – https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dine-res/availability

BE AN EARLY BIRD TO NAVIGATE HIGH CROWD VOLUMES

✨Rope Drop! Click here to learn how to Rope Drop at WDW!

✨By staying on Walt Disney World Property you can take advantage of the extra magic hours that are offered – early park hours. Get there an hour before the park opens.

✨Arrange a layout of what rides you will hit in which order for once the park is open. Have a plan of the most important rides and attractions to tackle while crowds are still low. *If you are a deluxe resort guest then on select nights you will have late extra magic hours for after the park closes. Its so beautiful to walk around the parks at night, all lit up without the sun beating down on you!

TAKE A MID-DAY BREAK / NAP TO CONQUER CROWDS AT WDW

✨Take a mid-day break / nap or perhaps swim in one of the resort pools, and then head back to the parks at night. Typically parks are at their highest crowd times in the afternoon. Wait lines are also longest at this time.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Pool

PARADES OR NIGHT SHOW: HOW TO TRIUMPH OVER CROWDS ON YOUR WDW VACA

✨If you are watching a parade – get your viewing spot about 15 minutes to 30 minutes prior to the show. Don’t forget your sun umbrella! Have a member of your party run for snacks.

✨For a Night Show – you will want extra time to find your perfect viewing spot and camp out about 45 min – 30 min prior to the show. Bring snacks, drinks and sunshades since the sun takes a while to set.

BEAT THE CROWDS WITH GENIE PLUS:

✨Genie plus might be a good investment during the busy times. It will help you skip a lot of the long lines. Learn how to “Stack” rides and general Genie Plus Useage!

KNOW YOUR EXPECTATIONS

✨Have a pep talk with your party prior to vacation and make sure to remind them they need to wear their Patience Pants. It is much easier if you can get the members of your travel party to agree to a go-with-the-flow type attitude. If you are traveling with babies then the guardians need to adjust their attitudes. Babies through age 4 tend to have some of the worst meltdowns I have ever seen at WDW – remember how overwhelmed adults get? – Well the it is even worse for the little ones. Make sure you plan lots of down play time for those little ones. All the resorts have playgrounds and neat pools to unwind in. The parks even have playgrounds located inside.

✨Transportation will be as equally as crowded.

✨Consider staying at a Resort in the Magic Kingdom Loop Area or the Epcot / Hollywood Studios Boardwalk Area – if you can afford it. These resorts help alleviate some of the extra stress caused by waiting for a bus because you have more transportation options such as boat, monorail or maybe Skyliner.

One of my most favorite times to visit WDW:

SPRING!

Visiting Walt Disney World in the Spring is by far one of my most favorite times to visit Walt Disney World. Preferably anytime from the last week of April through mid May. You want to make sure you plan for AFTER SPRING BREAK, AFTER EASTER which are some of the highest crowd times of the year.

  • Prices Are Lower
  • Epcot’s Flower and Garden Show Booming
  • Time Change is on our side! Staying lighter out later!
  • Amazing weather and temps! This time of the year generally before the humidity sets in and doesn’t typically get too hot. Although keep in mind this is Florida and subject to change and vary at any time. I love mid 80’s during the day and 60’s or 70’s at night.
  • Mother’s Day is such a beautiful time to visit – the parks are flourishing with flowers.
  • Low Crowds: Spring Break as been completed and the southern states are in school until the first week – mid-May.
  • Click here to learn why you should book your reservation and theme park tickets in advance!

CONS

  • Chances of rain
  • Chances of cooler weather
Epcot

  • Mickey’s Not So Scary Hallowen Party running over in Magic Kingdom. Select dates. Additional Tickets Required for purchase. Purchase Tickets here – https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/magic-kingdom/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party/

  • Halloween Merch
  • Still Summer
  • Before the time change
  • Lower Crowds until you approach Halloween October 31

CONS

  • More Humid
  • Hotter than the gates of hell

Week AFTER Thanksgiving / 1st Week of December

CONS

  • Gets Dark Out Early
  • Can Be Cold
  • You have to take your kids out of school (if applicable)

January

Some people love to vacation in January for the low crowd / lower cost – however prices do go up Martin Luther King Jr Day Weekend along with crowds. Being that it is Florida you can bank on luck for a couple of warm days or 2.

CONS

  • Holidays Are Over
  • Chilly Weather
  • Dark Early
  • Possible Too Cool for Pool or Water Rides
  • No Flower and Garden or events

As a Disney World lover I can say that I love and enjoy going to Disney World any time of the year! But if you have that one special trip booked or may not be able to go again then you will want to take the time of year you book into consideration. I hope this has helped you decide when you may want to visit the most magical place on earth!

How To Book a Family of 4 Under $3,000 Vacation Package At Walt Disney World

It is possible and this is how you do it.

Disclaimer: I am by no means responsible for closures due to anything and including whatever can and will go wrong during your WDW vacation. Always visit on My Disney Experience or on Disney’s website https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/my-disney-experience/planning-your-trip/ to for pricing, booking, and check for times and closures. I am a Mother of 2 boys who travels to Walt Disney World often and these are my opinions and suggestions.

Ok so you have decided you want to hit up Walt Disney World the most magical place on earth but you have the biggest budget on earth that you need to stick to. 😁  You have decided you want all the incredible benefits of staying on property at one of the Disney Resorts. I have priced it out for you.  🔥*Please note that pricing is subject to change at any time. Please refer to my disclaimer.

Disney Resort Hotel

Included PACKAGE: Disney’s All Star Movies Resort in a standard room.  We have stayed here a few times and have always had a lovely time.  The resort is encompassed in Disney theming – we usually stay in a preferred room in the Toy Story Section but no matter where you stay you will be amazed with the larger-than-life extravagance.   Since you’re staying here in Spring which is such a gorgeous time to stay in Walt Disney World.  You have the time change on your side with temps still not firing up and the humidity hasn’t hit yet. This time of year is so beautiful, including Epcot’s Flower and Garden Show.

Click here to read why you should stay at a Walt Disney World Resort!

Your Vacation Dates Make a Difference in Pricing

Included: Check in April 30 checking out May 3, 2024.

There are cheaper times of the year to visit Walt Disney World and the most expensive times of the year are Thanksgiving Week, Christmas Week through New Years and the spring break times which range from middle of March through the middle of April.  For you I have chosen these dates:

Check in April 30 checking out May 3, 2024.  Tuesday – Friday.  Vacationing during the week is much cheaper than vacationing over the weekend.

You also want to give yourself ample time to book ahead of time – the closer you get to vacation dates the pricing goes up.  Plus you do not want to miss out on being able to make advanced dining reservations 60 days prior to your trip.

Park Tickets

Included: 3 day base park ticket. Park hopping adds on over an additional $300.00. With this you are going to need to decide out of the 4 Disney Parks which ones you are going to visit. It depends on your party. If you are a party of adults I would suggest skipping Animal Kingdom but if you have small little kids I might suggest skipping Epcot. You need to research the parks and decide which ones would be best for your family to visit.Learn why you should consider purchasing your WDW Park Tickets and even make resort reservations in advance by clicking here!

Disney’s All Star Movies Resort

Dining Plan

Included: Quick Service Plan.

Disney World has finally brought back the dining plan!! Time to celebrate.  We have been traveling to Disney World since 2006 – sometimes once a year and sometimes more.  We see how much the dining plan has saved us and provides us with so much more food and opportunities.

With the Quick Service Plan you get:

-2 Quick Service Meals per person per day

-1 Snack per person per day

– 1 Resort Refillable Mug per day – which you can walk to any quick service at any Disney Resort and refill your mug with tea, coffee, sodas, waters etc.

If you would like a sit-down Table Service Restaurant with wait service you will need to add on to your budget because these tend to be pretty pricey – especially if you want a character meal. For this I would budget an extra $300 for any character meal and an extra $150-$200 for any other restaurant location – which all vary in price. Do your research before you go.

Advertisements

You can bring your own food into WDW and never buy water when you can get free water at any quick service location throughout the parks. You can have a grocery delivery to your hotel once you check-in as well.

ALL MAGIC COMES AT A PRICE

Your pricing for all of the above, party of 4 comes to $2,700.  Pricing is subject to change at any time, even with the influence of WHEN you book your vacation. Disney also throws in some price increases after January so the sooner you book = the better.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park Is a Half Day Park

Creating an Epic Half-Day Adventure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is a half day park.

If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World but are limited on your time there you might want to consider that Animal Kingdom is a half-day park.

When we travel to Walt Disney World each year and sometimes more often, we usually never count on spending an entire day at Animal Kingdom.

Our Animal Kingdom Park Schedule:

Accordingly, when we visit Animal Kingdom we usually start our day out for early breakfast reservations at Tuskar House prior to park opening. Then we hop over to Kilimanjaro Safari before the line starts to get long. From there we make our way to Flight of Passage and then on to Expedition Everest. We are usually leaving Animal Kingdom by 2pm to head back to the hotel for rest. For dinner, we park hop and spend the evening at Magic Kingdom or one of the other parks.

Click here to read on HOW TO ROPE DROP AT WALT DISNEY WORLD

Reasons Why Animal Kingdom Theme Park Is a Half Day Park:

*Closes Early – Animal Kingdom usually closes early and can be as early as 5pm. This can vary so be sure to keep checking and the morning of!

*Animal Habitats and Discovery Island with the Tree of Life – Animal Kingdom is more of a relaxing park. Similar to a zoo there are many animals to see. If you really wanted to spend the entire day there, you could by seeing all of the animal habitats and discovering the carvings all over the Tree of Life. This spectacular Animal Kingdom icon is covered in animal carvings – there are trails surrounding the tree with fantastic views.

*Pandora World of Avatar is quite amazing and is not to be missed however is small. Pandora only has 2 rides – Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey. There is 1 quick service restaurant inside of Pandora called the Satu’li Canteen which has seating both indoors and outdoors.

*Dinoland currently does not have too much going on with a playground for kids and the famous thrilling Dinosaur ride

*Asia is where you will find one of Disney World’s most thrilling roller coasters – Expedition Everest. Click here for a list of all the THRILL RIDES at Walt Disney World!

*Africa is where you will find the famous Kilimanjaro Safari Ride along with Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail and other animal habitats

Other Things to do at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park:

  • Conservation Station
  • Affection Section
  • Oasis (habitats as you walk through the entrance)
  • Festival of the Lion King – one of my most favorite shows in Walt Disney World
  • Maharajah Jungle Trek
  • Caring for Giants – Tour
  • Kali River Rapids – white water rapids ride
  • Finding Nemo – the Big Blue and Beyond show
  • Character Meet and Greets – find on the website www.mydisneyexperience.com or the app for locations inside the park – My Disney Experience. Here you can also find ride wait times, access Genie Plus, locate photo pass photographers if you have Memory Maker, shops and more.

Learn how to change your reservations in My Disney Experience by clicking here!

Comparatively to Disney World’s 3 other theme parks there just isn’t as much to do at Animal Kingdom despite the park’s limited must-do’s; especially if you are short on time. If you are trying to accomplish 2 parks within one day, conversely again this park would be the starter and then end at Epcot or Magic Kingdom which stay open the latest at night.

Always be sure to check out what Animal Kingdom Park has to offer inside the My Disney Experience app on your phone. Do some research and read about it before your trip.

It always benefits to have your days and plans thought out before you go.

How To Enjoy Your Walt Disney World Vacation

Planning a Walt Disney World Vacation can start within months or even years. So much researching, saving, paying involved and then POOF! Now it is finally time for your WDW Vacation!!!  Read on for tips to make sure that you do not lose sight of what you have been so excited and worked so hard for, on how to enjoy your long awaited Walt Disney World Vacation!

Tips For Enjoying Your Walt Disney World Vacation

IGNORE EVERYONE EXCEPT YOUR ENTOURAGE AND CAST MEMBERS

IGNORE OTHER PEOPLE! This is the number one tip I have regarding on how to enjoy your WDW Vacation or any vacation for that matter. WDW is crowded (as in any other vacation destination). Disney cannot control other people’s actions and either can we. There is a saying “Do not stress over what you cannot control” and you need to take this into a strong consideration. Just focus on yourselves and enjoying your family or whomever you may be there with. Make sure YOU and your party are acting appropriately and being kind and mindful of other people. Disney’s employee’s are referred to as Cast Members – always be sure to be respectful and kind to them. Know your expectations – other people will not do the same for you – LET THEM.

SOAK UP THE MOMENTS

GO SLOW. As can be seen, you may have to rush off for ADR’s (advanced dining reservations) and Genie Plus / Lightning Lane Return Times. But take time and small moments during the day to soak it all in. Hug and cuddle your loved ones. Check out the amazing alluring scenery. Plan out some down time by the pool and investigating your resort. Disney has some amazing resort grounds. TAKE IT ALL IN – the sights, smells, experiences and tastes – there is so much to to delight and relish in.

PREDICT, FORECAST AND CALCULATE

Know Your Expectations. Anticipate Crowds. Predict people to be in the way. Forecast people to be rude. Presume people to bump into you. LOL This happens anywhere you go – even though it is significantly more at Disney. Despite it all, do your best to tune all of this out. Set yourself up prior and during the trip with everyone else in your party. Remind your party of the hard work, time and money it took to get here and enjoy together and focus on that. While you’re waiting in line play games like “Eye-Spy games or “Would You Rather”. Scheme during long waits! Organize out your next few stops … maybe you need the rest room next, then head over to conquer Pirates and Jungle Cruise and tackle the gift shops on your way to dinner. SUSTAIN A POSITIVE MINDSET

IF YOU FOCUS ON THE NEGATIVE THAT IS ALL YOUR SENSES WILL ALLOW YOU TO FEEL. Make it the best time of your life! Some things will go wrong or not as planned, so when this happens find guest services at your resort or in the parks and politely ask for help. 90% of the time the Disney Cast Members will be able to assist you – but you will not get anywhere by being rude. Spread kindness and you will receive it back.

Transportation Provided! Likewise You Don’t Need to Bring your Car! Disney provides the Monorail / Boat / Bus / Skyliner throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts which are all highly convenient for afternoon break, arrivals and departing at night. No treading through parking lots or paying to park. Buses and boats will drop you as close to the entrance as possible. Want to know if it is possible to walk from Epcot to Disney Springs? Refillable Mug – my family loves the refillable mug which is another reason why to stay inside a Walt Disney World Resort. The convenience of the short walk to the resort lobby to fill up your mug and hydrate as often as we like is very appealing. One of my favorite parts about our Disney Vacations are waking up, inside a Walt Disney World resort and I enjoy my early-morning walks around the resort grounds while I head over to the quick service and grab some Joffrey’s coffee. Yummy – I can smell it now.

Characters appear on grounds – This is one of my most favorite reasons for staying at a Walt Disney World Resort. Usually surprise appearances happen in deluxe and sometimes moderate resorts. Once we had awesome timing for a pic with Jack Skellingington at the Art of Animation Resort! Another time we were surprised by characters was this past Summer 2024 – we had Donald and Goofy appear for pictures in their 100th Celebration Outfits at the Port Orleans French Quarter Lobby area………………….Click here to read about my review of Port Orleans French Quarter this past summer! Can you walk from Epcot to Disney Springs? The answer is probably yes.  Would I recommend it – —– NO.  This is dangerous and would take a long time.  Epcot to Disney Springs is roughly 3.2 miles each way.  The Disney Theme parks and resorts are MASSIVE and while vacationing at WDW you are antecedently going to do a LOT of walking.

Conversely, why risk walking highways and busy areas when Disney Bus Transportation is FREE and convenient?

Accordingly you may utilize the Bus Transportation inside of the Walt Disney World which is absolutely free.  In addition, each theme park has a nearby Disney resort that you can utilize for bus transportation to and from Disney Springs.

    FROM MAGIC KINGDOM

    • Walk to the Contemporary Resort and grab a bus heading to Disney Springs at the bus depot
    • Walk, Monorail or Boat to Disney’s Grand Floridian and head to the bus depot

    Originating at HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

    Coming from EPCOT

    • Walk or Boat to Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club, or Boardwalk Resort and catch a bus going to Disney Springs at one of their bus depots

    Leaving ANIMAL KINGDOM

    • This one is a little trickier since your ONLY option is to take a bus. The closest resort to Animal Kingdom is Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge where you can grab a bus to Disney Springs

How to Rope Drop at Walt Disney World

If you are traveling to Walt Disney World any time soon you are going to want to Rope Drop! ROPE DROP IS FOR EVERYONE!

Start your day off right by visiting Walt Disney World’s 4 theme parks and taking advantage of low wait times during rope drop. Learn How to Rope Drop now!

    WHAT IS ROPE DROP?

Rope drop at the Walt Disney World Parks is the time when each park opens for the day.  So if any of the 4 theme parks ****** for instance****** Magic Kingdom opens at 9am you’re going to want to be there approximately 30-45 minutes early to go through security and online waiting to scan in for the day.

    WHY ROPE DROP?

*Historically speaking, the Walt Disney World Parks are typically at their very least crowded when they first open, continuing into the first few hours of the morning.  During this time you can take advantage of low crowds and get on as many rides as you can while waits are low.

*As a result you will want to plan your morning directed first at a fan favorite attraction – considering those that normally develop high wait times as the day evolves. You will need to head directly to the chosen attraction as you enter the park.  Consider mapping out the next 2 high-wait-time attractions to head to after you have accomplished your first attraction.

*Additionally you will need to seek out the opening times per park for EACH DAY of your vacation in advance so you can master plan accordingly. You can locate this inside the My Disney Experience App! Park Opening / Closing times vary. WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE DISNEY PARKS THRILL RIDES? CLICK HERE!

Suggestions of rides for rope drop perchance:

Magic Kingdom Rides to Rope Drop Might be:

    *Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

    *Peter Pan’s Flight

    *Space Mountain

*Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (Formerly Splash Mountain) when this ride opens it is expected to have a high volume wait time – unless it is made into a Virtual Queue at first??  Want to know more about virtual queues?  READ HERE.

Hollywood Studios Rides to Rope Drop Might be:

    *Slinky Dog Dash

    *Rise of the Resistance

    *Twilight Zone’s Tower of Terror

    *Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Animal Kingdom Rides to Rope Drop Might be:

    *Flight of Passage

*Kilimanjaro Safaris – animals are more active first thing in the morning

Epcot Rides to Rope Drop Might be:

    *Frozen Ever After

    *Test Track

    *Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

One important thing you also need to keep in mind: regardless if you are staying on property or not would be researching Extra Magic Hours.

Occasionally Disney World Resort Guests are provided Extra Magic Hours.  This means some of the parks might open an hour early to only guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Property.  In turn this is an additional time of low crowds.

If you are staying on property you can take full advantage of this.

If you are not staying on property maybe you want to plan your park days around this!  Consider going to a park that morning that does not have early morning Extra Magic Hours.

What is a Virtual Queue for Walt Disney World?

If you are traveling to Walt Disney World any time soon you are going to need to know about their Virtual Queues. Experience thrill rides at Walt Disney World with virtual queues – free & easy to join with your park ticket!

Basically a virtual queue is simply waiting in a virtual line for your turn where you are not stucking standing in one place for 3 hours or more.  You are free to go on other attractions, dine and do as you please while waiting to be called to the attraction.

At this present date there are only 2 Virtual Queues in Walt Disney World – both are top thrill ride attractions – that you need to be aware of. Read here about the Thrill Rides at Walt Disney World.

💫Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind located in Epcot💫

    🏍️Tron Light Cycle located in 🏰Magic Kingdom🏍️

Steps to Join a Virtual Queue:

🔥*Updated* now that the park hopping time restriction has been lifted, it is possible to join a second virtual queue at 1pm.  1)Your FIRST virtual queue is at 7am via the My Disney Experience app. 2)If you are able to park hop into another park once you have ridden your selected attraction, ( your second park that you have hopped into should contain an attraction that requires a virtual queue) you may join at 1pm – if you are scanned in and present inside that park. Virtual Queues are FREE and included in your park ticket. Please check my disclaimer and refer to the Walt Disney World Website - https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/virtual-queue/

🔥As can be seen Virtual Queues are found inside My Disney Experience. You will need to make sure it is updated and working properly – phone charged.

🔥Accordingly you are going to have to wake up early! ⏰Set alarm for at least 6:45am so you can go directly to My Disney Experience to make sure you are logged in – make sure all of your family / party are selected – and begin refreshing.

🔥As a result at 7am sharp you should have the option to join the virtual queue of your pick for the morning. You’re going to select Join Virtual Queue and follow the steps from there.

*In the above ^^ picture the app had a glitch that day – was not in Hollywood Studios – Guardians is located in Epcot. *^

🔥If you were successful the virtual queue status will give you an estimate of how many minutes you are called to the attraction. You will want to periodically check in to see how quickly the line is moving.

🔥Once called, I believe you have an hour to get to the attraction. You will get a push notification pop up on your phone.

🔥If you had an unsuccessful attempt at joining the queue you will have a second chance at 1pm that day – just make sure you are inside the park prior to 1pm!

Once you are called to the attraction there will still be another wait inside the attraction like the normal lines you are used to.

🎢 Prior to entering the attraction, make sure you have used the rest rooms and have had a snack.  If you need Dramamine take that prior to entering as well. Click here to discover what Rope Drop is at Walt Disney World!

🧘As always continue to be patient and have a magical time!

    Local NY Holiday Lights Trail

You can find them on facebook by clicking here.

Every year I seek out Holiday Lights – either a drive through or a walking trail that we can attend with my husband and children. It is one of the most fun activities during the holiday season for us. It really brings out the spirit of the season. “The Holiday Lights in Bloom” at the Orange County Arboretum in Goshen NY was a hidden gem. Even though the night we visited was freezing we really enjoyed walking around this beautiful light display. It really got us excited for the season.

If you are searching for HOLIDAY FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY then you are going to want to check out this fabulous event. Arrive by 7:30pm because lights are turned off at 8pm. This holiday lights trail is running Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights November 24, 2023 through December 30, 2023. Closed Christmas Eve. Use 41 Grove Street Hamptonburgh, NY 10916 for GPS.

*The Friends of the Arboretum will host their Holiday Boutique in the Greenhouse 11/24 to 12/17 in conjunction with the lights.

This non-profit organization is built on former pasturelands and is a natural display of trees, shrubs and plants. There are raised gardens and water fall features. It is a beautiful tranquil place to visit especially during the spring and summer months.

You might want to consider a family portrait in front of this beautiful tree for your family Holiday Card. Click here to read DIY Easy Holiday Family Portrait

I was able to take some beautiful pictures of my family by their giant Christmas Tree centered inside the light trail. I am looking forward to coming back and checking out the arboretum during the spring and summer months.

Donations are always welcome. This is a Free event!

Click here to read why Disney’s is a full sensation experience

    SOAK UP THE MOMENTS

GO SLOW. As can be seen, you may have to rush off for ADR’s (advanced dining reservations) and Genie Plus / Lightning Lane Return Times. But take time and small moments during the day to soak it all in. Hug and cuddle your loved ones. Check out the amazing alluring scenery. Plan out some down time by the pool and investigating your resort. Disney has some amazing resort grounds. TAKE IT ALL IN – the sights, smells, experiences and tastes – there is so much to to delight and relish in.

    TOLERANCE, ENDURANCE, COMPOSURE AND STABILITY

Be Patient. Please put on your patient pants and discuss this with your party before you even arrive. Accordingly before you head out for the day do a little reminder that we all need to be patient. It is always great to take an afternoon break with a nap to recharge for the evening.

Weekly List of Resources for Traveling to Walt Disney World  🔥HOT TIP 2🔥

Travel Hacks for Walt Disney World. Traveling to the beach, hiking destinations or other theme park adventures? These tips apply to all of the above.

When traveling to Walt Disney World, other theme parks, hiking adventures, beach destinations or any other sort of vacation port of call, we carry around a backpack that we refer to as our “park bag”.

Here is one of my favorite travel hacks:

      Be Sure to Pack:

*✴️A Fanny Pack or a Belt Bag

When you are standing in line waiting with a million people around you, you don’t want to be swinging around your backpack to search for your wallet.  A fanny pack makes your wallet among other things EASILY ACCESSIBLE.

What I keep inside my Fanny Pack for travel:

      *Lipstick

      *Phone

*Small Wallet with ID and cards

      *Portable Charger and Wire

      *My husband’s insulin pen

      *Sunglasses

For eating in restaurants it is so much easier to pull his insulin pen and wallet out of my fanny pack than to try to go searching through my backpack in small, confined spaces.

WHILE WALKING THROUGH THE AIRPORT EVERYONE NEEDS THEIR IDENTIFICATION – THE FANNY PACK PROVIDES FAST, EASY ACCESS TO YOUR IDENTIFICATION!

When we are boarding rides my kids usually hand me their phones quickly and are quickly stored in my fanny pack for safe keeping.

The fanny pack I have been using recently I purchased a few years ago from Disney’s Magic Kingdom called Big Top Souvenirs.   Because I only use the fanny pack for travel it is still in pretty good condition.

      🩸WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT‼️ 🔥

When you vacation at Walt Disney World you need to prepare yourself for all the miles of walking and the excess standing in line you will be doing.  (If you have some sort of a disability – Disney World provides the Disability Access System – READ HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT IT.)

For the rest of us doing so much standing and walking I have found the most amazing hiking sandals that actually healed my hamstring and knee pain while wearing throughout our WDW vacation.

These Keen Sandals are hiking sandals and advertised for you to be able to walk in a stream and then walk out of the stream continuing your hike with no problems.  So I figured if we got caught in an Orlando downpour, I would have no issues walking.  My feet never did get soaked during THIS particular vacations like prior vacations. But I never felt any fatigue OR pain especially carrying around a heavy park bag.

I also wore these sandals for a second vacation destination in Wildwood Crest, NJ as well as to Cape May, NJ.  They were fantastic both times and I could feel the difference if I tried to wear anything else.

🚶I cannot recommend these sandals 🩴 enough for the support and🏃 comfort they provide for miles of walking and long periods of standing. 🧍

Weekly List of Resources Travel Tip For Spring / Summer / Fall. *🔥HOT TIP 1🔥*

Weekly List of Resources for Traveling to Walt Disney World or ANYWHERE in the heat.

Travel Hacks for Walt Disney World. Traveling to the beach, hiking destinations or other theme park adventures? These tips apply to all of the above.

Take note and add this to your CHECKLIST FOR TRAVELING!

It is currently August wickedly hot and humid.  If you are traveling anywhere right now, doing a lot of walking – chances are you are going to chafe due to sweating.

As we head into the fall it will STILL be extremely hot and humid in Florida until it heads roughly into November.  When it is this HOT and humid there is a higher chance of chafing.  YOU ARE GOING TO SWEAT – A LOT!

Chafing can occur anywhere there is a fold or crevice.  I also get rubbed on the tops of my arms from wearing a backpack in a tank top.

This week’s travel hack is to make sure to pack:

      *✴️BODY GLIDE

      *✴️Monostat Chafing Gel

Both of these are an absolute MUST!  Sometimes the Monostat Chafing Gel is a little easier to get into places that the Body Glide might be hard to reach into.

Before I apply these I like to apply deodorant all over – legs / arms / back etc.  The smell is pleasing and it really helps in any rubbing prevention.  This is the first step in my sweat proof, sweat prevention method.

*I prefer the Monostat Chafing Gel on my feet for blisters in small spots – maybe even on a blister that has already started.  I tried using Body Glide on my feet in my Keen Sandals and was sliding all over the place. It might work better in socks and shoes.

      Explore Your Resort Pools

Every Walt Disney World Resort has at least one main themed feature pool along with a few other “quiet pools” on the ground. When flying to WDW, try packing your bathing suits in one of your carry-on personal items – I like to use backpacks. This way your bathing suits are easily accessible and you can take advantage of the resort lobby restrooms for a quick easy change. What Disney Was Like With NO DINING PLAN

For those of you that travel to Disney World Often and LOVE having a Dining Plan OR maybe you have been booking a first time trip but wanted a dining plan: Here is our experience with how we handled not having our beloved pre-paid dining plan.

Deluxe Dining Plan – (This was fantastic because ALL of our food was paid off prior to our vacation, excluding tips)

Pre-Covid – in recent years, when we would travel to WDW we always preferred to have the Deluxe Dining Plan. This gives us 3 table sit-down services per day ( for each member of your party) – which can be used at any of the Disney Dining locations – buffets, quick services etc. It also gives each person 2 snacks per day – to use on any snack from ice cream, cupcakes to beverages. We normally love character buffets and fine dining. At each sit down meal you get: 1 appetizer per person, 1 main course and 1 desert per person including beverages and the adults were allowed 1 alcoholic drink per adult. I mean can you say SPOILED!? For a family of 4 which has been 3 adults and 1 child (according to their age range), it usually costs us close to/ roughly $2,000 for roughly a 7 or 8 day vacation; ****that we can pay off before we go*** – always using discounted Disney Gift Cards. It is a great feeling when you know the food part of your vacation is already paid off, before you even arrive. They do offer other options of dining plans, but this is the one we always choose because we get the most value for our money out of this one. We have 2 growing boys and a type 1 juvenile diabetic husband – so we need to eat so his sugar does not drop. Plus we love our air conditioned breaks and being waited on when you’re hot and tired from all the hustle and bustle of the vacation.

June 2021 Vacation NO Dining Plan

      FAST FORWARD

So after dealing with the pandemic for over a year, as things started to get better we couldn’t wait to get back to our happy place. We knew going in that we were already spoiled and we wouldn’t be eating nearly as much, or as GOOD as we usually do. So I have to tell you that we did a LOT of mobile-ordering to quick services. We had to budget since I hadn’t worked all year and we didn’t have our precious dining plan. The quick services seemed to be the cheapest option coming to anywhere between $60-$70 for the 4 of us… There were a few sit-down restaurants that actually did not come to much more – but not including tip – for instance Mama Melrose and 50’s Prime Time both in Hollywood Studios were pretty reasonable and delicious. I did use discounted Disney Gift Cards to save as much as we could. We did NOT dine at finer signature restaurants like Le Cellier or Chefs de France in Epcot, or Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom, or even Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

All in all, we spent around $2,000 out of pocket, not being able to dine at the lovely select Disney Signature Restaurants, and mostly quick services. My kids do love those mickey bars; but at $6.00 a pop we were feeling it. Chef Mickeys and the Crystal Palace were the most expensive costing well over $200 plus tip.

Keep in mind during this late June 2021 trip a lot was still not opened, character meals were scarce and not like they used to be. So many options still closed. Part of what used to make our Disney Vacations so magical was the character dining – that made it much more affordable with the dining plan! They actually just started fireworks at Magic Kingdom a few days after we checked out.

      Ways To Save Money

      Annual Pass Discounts

Already being annual passholders, we were only able to afford to renew my annual pass. This way with the annual pass we got a decent room discount. The Annual Pass Discounts also get you 20% off merchandise and about 10% off of dining. I had hoped the AP Discount would have been higher for food but unfortunately it was not. Your annual pass is connected to your My Disney Experience so when you mobile order your AP Discount will automatically be taken off, as long as the restaurant takes it. We were sad to learn that Cosmic Rays in Magic Kingdom DID NOT give any Annual Pass Discounts. I am not sure renewing my AP was actually worth it in the long run – unless we are able to make it back this fall. There are currently NO AP room discounts for the fall yet – and WHO KNOWS IF THEY WILL EVEN RELEASE ANY. Disney World is booking up fast for their 50th Anniversary Celebration.

      Discounted Disney Gift Cards

I always purchase Disney Gift cards through Target or BJ’s. At Target you save 5% and BJ’s is around the same, but can be slightly lower as the pricing fluctuates there. This is something I always do – because I use them to pay for our entire Disney Vacation. When it’s all said and done I end up saving around $300 which is worth the effort to me. I also like not having to pull out a credit card every where we go. So while there we were able to use the Disney Gift card for mobile order, merchandise, drinks and cocktails, snacks, and the table service restaurants. You can combine Disney Gift cards onto 1, holding up to $1,000 on each gift card. In Disney World $1,000 goes quickly!

We are so EXCITED for the return of the Disney Dining Plan!

We really hope that when the Disney Dining plan returns, it will be the same or better – and not worse. We will not be returning to WDW until it does return because a big part of what we love about Disney is eating!

We are keeping all eyes and ears on the lookout for the return date!

How To Have an Adult Trip At Walt Disney World

WAYS TO MAKE WALT DISNEY WORLD AN ADULT ONLY EXPEDITION

Travel Hacks for An Adult Only Experience at Walt Disney World

Calling all Luxury Travel Experts, Wanderlusts, Travel Addicts and Hodophiles!

Yes there will be children all over the WDW Resorts and Parks but ignoring them really isn’t so hard!  However there are several ways to make vacationing at Walt Disney World an ADULT ONLY trip!

Get your notes ready and write this down! Screen Shot it! Save it! Mark it down in your travel journal.

      1. Book at a Moderate or Deluxe Resort.  Port Orleans French Quarter/ Riverside and Coronado Springs Resorts are both luxurious “MODERATE”  resorts on stunning grounds with elegant lounges on property.  French Quarter and Riverside both offer the Water Taxi to Disney Springs.

*Deluxe Resort Accommodations always feel more upscale and have so many amenities to choose from.

*Value Resorts are very loud – IN YOUR FACE theming – which are so fun and attract more families on a budget- but aren’t luxurious or upscale.

      1. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian  (bar/lounge)  becomes ADULT-ONLY after 8pm
      2. Dine at Disney’s Signature Dining Locations which are more upscale
      3. Visit the Atlantic Dance Hall on Disney’s Boardwalk Resort Area which is an ADULT-ONLY nightclub
      4. Jellyrolls at Disney’s Boardwalk Area is an ADULT-ONLY lively piano bar with dueling pianos for guests 21 and over
      5. Disney Springs is loaded with 21 and over nightclubs
      6. Make sure you have a dining reservation at any Disney Park you attend for example – The Hollywood Brown Derby located inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
      7. EPCOT – all of the countries have drinks and food offerings as well as endless shopping opportunities
      8. Dine at the award winning Victoria & Albert’s located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa – no children are permitted.  There is also an upscale dress code.
      9. Dine at Jiko located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge for South African cuisine presented in a dramatic setting and then head to Victoria Falls Lounge (also inside the Animal Kingdom Lodge)  featuring South African beers & wines, light bites & African-themed decor.
      10. All resorts have a “Quiet Pool” which is one or more separate pools from the main attraction pool. Usually these quiet pools are little hidden since they aren’t the main attraction and for the most part will not be as crowded and certainly will not have as many children playing at these pools.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

Fact: A $120 bottle of water? Yes… The restaurant Victoria and Alberts, a AAA five diamond star restaurant located inside the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa sell a $120 bottle of water that contains water from a 15,000 year old glacier water from icebergs located in the remote polar region of the North Pole.

Interested in night life? Disney Springs has it all plus more. Disney Springs’ endless choice of restaurants will keep you full with countless shopping options to keep you busy all week long. Rumor has it that Cirque du Soleil will be returning some time in Fall 2021.

      Disney Springs at night

      Sights

Oh my goodness, 🤩 everywhere you turn is a sight to be seen when you are walking around Walt Disney World! Each resort is unique themed to the extreme from the ground up with some outstanding architectural work. Whether you want to feel as though you are staying in Africa at the Savanah watching zebras and giraffes from your room’s balcony, or, maybe you want to feel like you’re in the middle of the wilderness THEN travel to the Caribbean. Stop into the Big Easy, to your choice of modern, or Hawaiian, to the most luxurious Victorian style elegance.

Take a tour of Disney World’s most themed resorts. Inside the parks you are encompassed with beautiful grounds, gardens, flowers, decorative architectural theming and magical sights to be seen everywhere you look.

      Smells

Disney World has iconic scents and smells. Yes SMELLS.. Smells so divine! Each theme park, guest shop, resort lobbies and even RIDES and attractions have their very own unique smells. Disney World fragrances do something to your mind where you associate each smell with a memory and excitement. These smells are so wonderful that people actually buy them to smell while at home, from candles to hand sanitizers and now essential oils!

Disney even has their own line of bath products such as shampoo, conditioner, lotions and body butter. You can purchase them in the Disney Resort Gift Shops and online at ShopDisney.com.

      Experiences

These just aren’t JUST rides – they are full blown experiences and shows to blow your mind! Some are shows mixed into rides! Even just talking to some of the Cast Members can make an experience. Having a boat ride back from your resort to Magic Kingdom is an experience in itself – or maybe taking the friendship boat from Yacht and Beach Club to Hollywood Studios! Inside of Disney World you will find attractions like no other in the world. You must see it to believe it.

      Theatrical Themed Bars and Lounges

Disney Signature Cocktails. Where else are you going to find a bar that is themed to Indiana Jones or an elegant lounge that is Beauty and Beast Fairy-Tale themed? How about “a tropical paradise with tiki cocktails, good food and island ambiance”? That’s right – only in Walt Disney World!

List of exotic lounges to try (when things are back to normal past COVID times) while visiting WDW most located outside of the parks:

      • Jellyrolls
      • Trader Sams
      • The Enchanted Rose
      • California Grill Lounge
      • Top of the World Lounge
      • Dahlia Lounge
      • River Roost (Staring the amazing cabaret performer Yehaa Bob)
      • Oga’s Cantina at Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios (by reservation only available 60 days in advance)
      • Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar – theming from the motion picture Indiana Jones
      • Margarita Joe’s Located on Disney’s Boardwalk

*Always check back on availability, hours, and what may be opening or closed during your stay even while visiting because things seem to be changing overnight these days!*

      Disney Signature Dining

Some are theatrical themed and some have amazing entertainment. So much is cultural themed with dishes for the most adventurous pallet. Some restaurants are located inside the parks, some located at Disney Springs and some located at the Resorts. Yes – you don’t have to eat “theme park” food during your stay at all, or as little as you wish. You have plenty of choices. Maybe you want German cuisine and performers; or perhaps enjoy traditional Irish food while watching some amazing Riverdancing. There is just so much more.

      Sounds

Everywhere you go inside of Disney World you are always hearing Disney-made and owned music themed uniquely to the very spot you happen to be standing in. If you are in a resort lobby – there is specific music for that. Walking into any of the parks you will hear music themed specifically to the type of park you are in. Each ride and attraction has it’s very own music that when you hear, will bring many memories for years to come. Stepping into a Disney bus – yep there will be Disney music played in there too and I am not talking about only Disney Movie Music but some music played by orchestras. The resorts even have their own unique music themed specifically to that type of resort. There is even music for Halloween and Christmas time only played during these times!

Back in 2017 Hollywood Studios had a live orchestra play Pixar music. It was simply fantastic

Disney World has customer service magic like no other!

      Grand Floridian Society Orchestra

*Do you want culture and authentic architecture with cuisine to match? Try Epcot! Let’s not forget about Epcot’s Food and Wine Festivals where you can “eat and drink around the world”.

If you’re unsure about Disney World being just like any old typical theme park please know you’re mistaken and please go try it out- choose between more than 25 hotels to stay at. Do a little research before you go!

There are so many interesting and unique little hidden gems inside of Disney World that make it so unique and special.

How to Disney World For People With Disabilities

Walt Disney World’s System for Persons With Disabilities

Walt Disney World has a system for persons with disabilities and dealing with heavy wait times. If you or someone in your travel party has some sort of a disability that prohibits you from being unable to wait in extreme long lines then this applies to you.

      WHAT DISNEY’S DAS SYSTEM PROVIDES

The “Disability Access System” allows a virtual wait time, providing a return time.

This giving you freedom and accessibility to bathrooms, snacks or another attraction that may not have a wait.   For more information check out Disney World’s Website.

TAKE NOTE: You are able to obtain the DAS return time for your entire party so you are all able to stay together.

What Types of Disabilities Are Criteria to Receive DAS:

Disney’s DAS system is for people that have some sort of disability that requires them to be close to bathrooms or the inability to wait confined in a line. My husband is a type 1 diabetic and at risk for low blood sugar level so he needs to have quick access to foods, seating and bathrooms. Type 1 Diabetes are at risk to low blood sugar caused by stress, and fatigue among other things.

      HOW TO SWEATPROOF YOUR MAKEUP

BEST Sweatproof Summer Travel Makeup For Summer Heat and Humidity

NEW Waterproof, Melt Proof and Sweat Proof Makeup Regimen used while vacationing at Walt Disney World This Summer

      🥵MAKEUP THAT WON’T SWEAT OFF

DISCLAIMER: I am not by any means responsible for what can, could and may happen on your Walt Disney World Vacation – or any vacation for that matter. I am simply someone that has vacationed in Disney World with children 15 times as well as other destinations and these are my tips and tricks that I use.

Calling all Luxury Travel Experts and Luxury Travel 🧳Moms!

This primer and makeup set worked wonders for me while enduring heat and humidity this summer 2023 while vacationing at Walt Disney World!

We all know Florida will stay hot and humid May through November so these tips are good for the majority of the year.

Start out by being in cool air conditioning prior – so your face isn’t already sweating.

🔥Here is the order in which I used each product out of my travel makeup bag that was followed by a skincare regimen that includes SPF prior to makeup application:

      1. ELF POWER GRIP Primer and 4% Niacinamide
      1. Milani  Eyeshadow Primer 👁️
      1. MAC ProLongwear Concealer mixed with the ELF Hydrating Camo Concealer
      1. Dior Forever SKin Glow Hydrating Foundation SPF 15 – purchased online at Macy’s 🫦
      1. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder 💄
      1. Laura Mercier Ultra-Blur Talc-Free Translucent Loose Setting Powder 👄
      1. Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer 💋

The listed products are not really budget-friendly nor drug-store makeup products however they WILL last you a long time and are amazing on the skin giving you a flawless finish.

After a long day of sweating standing in long lines, in 100 degree heat and humidity we would return to the resort for a mid-take break and I would simply

RETOUCH in the afternoon/evening for dinner by puffing your face with a little Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder.

I always wear fake eyelashes on vacation – so you do not require as much eyeliner as it helps you appear younger, more glamorous and comes out so nice in pictures.

I am not sure what is going on with MAC Pro Longwear Foundation – as that used to be my “go-to” foundation but I couldn’t find it in my shade anywhere. The Dior is about $10-$15 more but much better on my over 40 skin!

What sweatproof makeup do you recommend for the summer months?

I WILL BE testing out this makeup at the beach in the ocean next week! Subscribe to see how it works.

Disney Cruise Line Wishables – Limited Release

Unboxing Disney Wishables: Cruise Line & Food Series 2

On Easter Sunday I noticed that the Shop Disney Website had listed some of their Disney Cruise Line Wishables as a pick-me-up during our quarantine. I do not think normally Disney Cruise Line Wishables are available on the site, but do not quote me. This ended up being a super fun surprise!

Usually listed at around $10 per package, Disney Wishables are something my kids have enjoyed collecting since last April 2019. If you have an Annual Pass or are a DVC member, you would recieve a 20% discount off. You can use a Disney Gift Card towards any merchandise you may find inside the parks! The Disney Wishables are a more affordable “mystery type package” where you never know which character you are going to get! This type of Disney merchandise is something fun for kids to get inside the parks, and when you sit down for a break – you have a surprise!

Some other Disney Wishable series we have already collected are Splash Mountain, Park Series, Food Series 1, Pirate Series to name a few. We also have a Toy Soldier that we picked up around New Years Eve that we picked up not inside a package. We also have Magic Kingdom Castle that was also not inside a package. Watch below to see the kids talk about our collection!

We have a video here of the kids unboxing their New Shop Disney Cruise Line Wishables and Food Series 2 Wishables – please like and share!

Disney seems to have some series designed for the current season /current holiday of Wishables located throughout the parks – for instance while we were visiting for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party we noticed some Nightmare Before Christmas Wishables.

I also purchased myself a cute Mickey Tank – who couldn’t use a little pick-me-up right now?! I cannot wait to wear it when we return to the parks!

What are some ways you are “doing Disney” during the quarantine?
